In 1927, art
director L. Milton Wolf created a magnificent fantasy replica of
a Norman castle in the verdant woodlands of Beachwood Canyon.
This masterful showpiece property, historic landmark and local
treasure exhibits the unsurpassed craftsmanship of a bygone era.
Wolf's Lair is an
extremely private residence, situated upon an enormous 3.3 acre
mountaintop promontory. The estate boasts a five bedroom, three
bath main house with library; a guesthouse with quarters
designed by famed architect John Lautner, in addition to staff
quarters, a heart shaped pool with spa, bridge and waterfall; a
pool house with cabana, and a 1920s speakeasy. The property also
features a large motor court with five-car covered parking,
extensive manicured grounds, a ridgeline nature preserve,
promenades, fish ponds, fountains, waterfall, folly, gardens and
walking paths all around.
This is a truly
incredible, one-of-a-kind offering with outstanding views of
Downtown, Griffith Park Observatory, Catalina Island and the
Hollywood Sign. It is an amazing trophy property. |
